Big Changes
We are going to be experiencing a variety of changes at PHS this year, one of the biggest being our mentor program for students. I am curious to see how this will affect student performance in terms of grades, attendance, and discipline. I am also curious to see how the school community responds to the absence of a morning tutorial program.
I wrote this a month ago and forgot to post it, but it goes with what I wrote this morning.

I am personally interested in the “school community’s” thoughts and reflections. I’ll be watching for info on that aspect particularly.
I am also aware that there is no tutorial time in the morning like there was in the past. Do you plan on surveying, interviewing, teachers to get a feel for their opinions? And what about students? Do you think those that are 10th grade and up could “clue” you in on “how it was” versus “how it is” now? Do they feel they have lost time that was valuable or is the advisory more valuable? Or has advisory in many cases turned into a study/homework time? I sure don’t know. I just think these are interesting issues.
