A comment was made that CSCOPE does not help but hinders new teachers. I have currently been reassigned to a grade I have never taught before and I am self contained. I have never taught math before and CSCOPE has a wealth of information when it comes to explaining what I am supposed to teach. I use CSCOPE simply as a resource and I ALWAYS use the book and whatever else I need to get the lesson taught properly. I can log into CSCOPE at home or after hours and I don't have to bother the other teachers for ideas or beg the MASTERFUL teachers who don't really have time for new teachers. I kinda like that!
