CSCOPE with Dale (formerly of the reg. 8 Dales)
Craig, Charles, and Dale McCurdy (CSCOPE Content Area Coordinator, Science for Region 16) discuss CSCOPE. There seems to be a fair amount of confusion about what this is, why this is, and how to use it. We hope to clear the muddied waters a bit.
Here is the mp3 file from this discussion. 6.83 MB (29 minutes 50 seconds)
Dale also gave us a pdf of how to use a feedback tool in CSCOPE, so if you are using and want to give feedback check this out.

What has been your success with implementing CSCOPE. We are looking into implementing it for the next school year. Thanks.

wow. A full answer to your question would need pages. Before I move too much further with this I would have to have some sort of idea as to what you consider success with implementing.
and as a disclaimer I am not speaking as a representative of the district, probably the opposite. I just hang out in a classroom with kids all day. There are officials from our district that could give you an “official” answer. Suzanne Patty could give you an answer from an administrator’s point of view.
technologically speaking; the CSCOPE site stability seems to have leveled out and is functioning pretty well, there have been lots of issues in the past there. Teacher machines need to be reasonably modern to navigate the site, we have some teachers that have technical difficulty accessing all portions of the site because of this.
I would absolutely suggest some staff development before implementation. I would suggest that all administration and faculty be on the same “page” as to what the expectations are for CSCOPE implementation. If you listen to the podcast linked here Dale talks about different methods of implementation.
If you want to give me a bit of direction with what type of success you are referring to I’ll be happy to type away. I may still do a bit of rambling about this anyway in the next couple of days. I have both positive and negative thoughts and experiences with/about CSCOPE.
